The students accidentally click on them and then have a difficult time figuring out how to get out of it. Students do NOT need to log in or an email address to play any of the games. It is extremely hard to find a website that includes this many options for free. The upsides are the variety of activities and tools available on this site for each grade level. It is similar to Wordle, but a little easier for the kids to use. I also like to use Abcya's tool Word Clouds. Favorites are Sugar, Sugar, Letter Blocks, Thanksgiving Challenge, and Trick or Treat. I have played many of the games and the critical thinking games are some of my favorite for students to try. Student favorites are the Holiday Lights, Carve a Pumpkin, Create a Car, and Drop Sum. For my Kindergarten students, it serves the purpose of teaching them how to use a mouse and the basics of using a computer while playing fun games and creating interesting art. This my "go to" website for all of my students when I have extra time at the end of a lesson. It has math, literacy, art, critical thinking, games, and holiday activities. Abcya is an engaging website for students in grades K-5.
